The old engines are out. Check out this instagram link for a visual of the engine room after the engine is gone.

The new engines traveled all the way to Puerto Vallarta. One of them was damaged, although the damage doesn’t look too bad at this point. I’m heading out next weekend to assess the damage more carefully, but it just looks like a bit of the fuel filter assembly was hit pretty hard.

On the brighter side, the boat is being hauled out tomorrow to finish cleaning and start the install. Despite a few minor issues, things are going well.

I am a little stuck getting the right muffler. The old mufflers aren’t very big and I was hoping to get a larger one to avoid problems after shutting down the engines. I might also need new exhaust hoses, but I will check this when I get there next weekend.
