Flights down to Mexico have shuffled around yet again. United isn’t doing direct flights now until after the Fourth of July holiday weekend, so if I want to go down, I have to fly through Houston, and it takes a few extra hours, leaving just past midnight and arriving around noon. Note to crew: your flight, if you already booked it, has changed. You can see the change if you sign in to United, where you’ll be greeted with this:

Your departure and arrival times, aircraft and flight number have changed.

Pretty sneaky of them to just rebook the flight.

Current Itinerary

Subject to change, of course, but it looks like I’m flying down on June 4th, and returning June 11th, to check on things and get everything ready for the long haul. The list hasn’t changed since my post on April 10th. I keep thinking of more stuff, like the freezer needing a recharge. I’ll have to work remotely during this time.

In any case, I’m still headed down July 1st for the long ride back.

Beer Shortage

With the beer shortage in Mexico, looks like I’ll be carrying down the maximum amount of beer allowed in my baggage, which looks like 3 liters, which is roughly a six-pack, plus 2 more.”
